Childhood
Filippo Ganna was born on July 25, 1996, in Verbania, a picturesque town in northern Italy near Lake Maggiore. Growing up in a sporting family, Filippo's father, Marco Ganna, was an Olympic canoeist who represented Italy at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. Marco's influence introduced Filippo to the values of discipline and seizing opportunities from a young age.
