The importance of gratitude?

GRATITUDE
You have probably heard about the importance of gratitude – that it is wise to be grateful not only for the good things what happen in our lives but also for the “bad” ones.
It is easy to feel it when we are happy, when things are going well and when positive and uplifting events happen in our lives – we are full of joy and gratitude stems from us organically and naturally. But to keep it going like that it might be necessary to practice the feeling in order not to take the “good” in life as if it goes without saying, rather remind ourselves that nothing ever is for granted.
To Notice Things of Gratitude
If we go in our lives, fulfilling our daily tasks and enjoy the small pleasures, we might easily get off the track if one day we notice that things are not as good as we wish them to be. We face some mishaps and lose our good spirit. What have we done wrong then? Have we may-be forgotten to feel gratitude for the tiniest success each day of our lives is bringing us, have we not expressed gratitude to others when we really feel that inside?
It is said that feeling of gratitude is vibrating very high and when feeling that you are gonna raise your vibration too. And what happens then? Of course, with higher vibration you are open to all the blessings of the Universe and you are gonna attract more of the things you are feeling gratitude for. Simple law of attraction.
Gratitude When Things Are Not Going Well
Well, is it possible to feel gratitude also when life is not turning out the way you wish?
I think it is, because this is only about accepting the reality as it is. There is no point in arguing with the circumstances – you can either change them or change yourself or your attitude. And then you might even find the hidden gem in the situation. This can only happen when you surrender to the present moment, open your eyes and your heart and let the gratitude flow in. Believe me, you start to feel better, rise higher and attract more of what will make you feel more gratitude.
This was the case of me a few years ago when touring in Luxor I met this Egyptian guy, appearing to be a soulmate in the first place. Well, later things turned out a bit differently, but I was still feeling gratitude – even though I fell severely ill after returning home and I found it had to do something with this interaction.
The story was full of moments which besides all the big feelings involved, showed that things are always not as they seem to be. But there is a reason for everything. And there is the gift. Gratitude is definitely the key to unpack it. How did I do it? By the end of the story it was clear to me.
"I Fell in Love with an Alfonso" extract
“Do you also do energy-work?” the young god continued.
“Oh, how does he know that?” I was full of admiration, as various tantric practices have been part of my daily routine for years and body-work on the energetic level was familiar to me. The energy-work was already in process, I had to admit. It seemed as if in that magical moment, when time had stopped its ticking and the existence of the outside world was beyond my perception, I was aware only of the overwhelming energy flowing through his eyes right into my body.
“I can see your heart! I am looking in your eyes and it’s your heart I can see there,” the man continued, being obviously enthused by the intense look in my eyes.
Here is an extract of my small e-book “I Fell in Love With an Alfonso” and a link to the book.
Among other things, this is definitely a story about gratitude.
