Childhood
Islam Makhachev was born on October 27, 1991, in Makhachkala, Dagestan, Russia. He grew up in the rural village of Burshi in Dagestan, a region renowned for producing world-class wrestlers and combat athletes. From a young age, Islam was exposed to the demanding environment of the North Caucasus, which played a significant role in shaping his resilience and fighting spirit.
