Qinwen Zheng was born on October 8, 2002, in Shiyan, Hubei Province, China. She spent the early years of her childhood living with her maternal grandmother in Chengdu, Sichuan. From a young age, she was encouraged by her father, Zheng Jianping, a former track and field athlete, to explore various sports, including badminton, basketball, and table tennis. However, it was tennis that truly captured her passion. Zheng began playing tennis at the age of seven and soon demonstrated a natural talent for the sport. At eight, she was sent to Wuhan to train intensively, seeing her parents only every two weeks.
